Sorry I am a little late on capturing the buzz on SphinnConn Israel 2011, but I thought I would just throw out my favorite and most informative lecture there. And the winner is: Analytics. I have always liked learning from visitor information, but as the panel (which included Yehosua Coren of Analytics-Ninja.com) spoke it really dawned on me how much analytics data is underused in trying to hone in which keywords and visitor sources should be targeting when trying to grow your site’s traffic. The biggest concept I took home from this was data segmentation, which Yehoshua Coren and Ofir Cohen spoke nicely about.
Some other favorites were Sam Michelson of FiveBlocks who spoke nicely on ORM (Online Reputation Management) and Eli Felblum of RankAbove who spoke about Universal Search and techniques in optimization.
