How many times have we heard that SEO is Dead. There have been many articles written on this and they seem to always surface when Google makes noticeable changes to their algorithm. Of course none of the algorithmic changes have put SEO’s out of business, not even the dreaded Panda Update. Of course now with Google+, the fear mongering that SEO is finished has started again and this time many people are worried that Google+ may actually drive a steak through the heart of even the most clever of SEOs.
I humbly disagree.
SEO will always around. Yes there have been some drastic changes in Google’s Search Formula in the past year, but SEO is more than just the simple push higher for desired keywords. SEO can and should be applied to everything we do on the web. After all there is a search for Google+ and there is search for Youtube. These and more can offer fantastic opportunities to create passive traffic for clients. Is it the traditional way of looking at SEO? No. But those who thought that Google was going to sit around and be spammed to death, were mistaken from the beginning. Its true SEO as we have known it may be changing beyond recognition, those concepts so important to search engine optimization are still with us and not going anywhere anytime soon.
